First American's roots in the Sacramento Valley date back to 1960, when Bankers Title Guaranty Company was incorporated and began issuing policies of title insurance from First American. In 1965, Bankers Title changed its name to First American Title Company of Sacramento and Sacramento later became the regional office for First American covering the following counties: Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, El Dorado, Humboldt, Mendocino, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Shasta, Siskiyou, Stanislaus, Sutter, Trinity, Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba. The Sacramento County main office is located in the City of Roseville, with conveniently located branch offices in Citrus Heights, Natomas, and the Howe Avenue area.

S. Placer

First American's presence in Placer County dates back to 1964, when First American began underwriting Tahoe Title Guaranty Company. In 1972, First American Title acquired an interest in county operations of Tahoe Title and merged the El Dorado and Placer County offices into First American in 1978. Our branch offices are conveniently located in Roseville.

Sutter & Yuba

The Sutter / Yuba county operation began in 1957 as First American was underwriter of Yuba City Title. In 1970 the company was sold to First American and became a wholly owned subsidiary. Two years later the name was changed to First American Title Company and operations expanded into the Yuba County market. In 1973 the company was merged into First American Title Insurance Company. First American Title offers complete title insurance and escrow services from our branch in Yuba City.
